Again congratulations to Dan and Morgan Beikirch for a job well done and thanks for all of  the other members who participated.

I was told a hand-ful of players from the tournament went out afterwards and had their own little tournament. You were allowed one club and had to play with one bare foot. I looked  in the books and did not see this as a club sanctioned tournament so I don’t have any results to report. But sounds like they had a good time.

How to Putt Under Pressure

By Tom Moran | Published: August 16, 2010

Most golfers have an easier time getting the ball from tee to green, but getting their scores lower comes down to the number of putts. here’s some tips to help you putt better, especially under pressure.

1.  Have a good routine entrained in your mind.
2.  Dedication to practice will train your muscle memory to help your stroke hold under pressure.
3.  To be a consistent putter, always reminder to keep your head still.
4.  For most golfers, having wrist movement in your putting stroke is a style that will not hold up well under pressure because the extra moving parts of the wrists requires more coordination and timing. Wrist movement reduces control of the distance and the direction during the stroke, often causing those 3-4 foot putts to be missed under pressure. try instead to develop a big muscle pendulum stroke (shoulders, and arms moving together in a rocking motion), which will hold up much better under pressure.
5.  Select a custom putter that fits you properly and looks good to your eye. This will help your muscles to be relaxed and give you more confidence when facing the pressure of putting.
